Worldwide leader services provider for oil and gas industry regarding Rig Survey, Commissioning, Acceptance Testing, Engineering Consulting and Training.

The role

Reporting to the Operation Manager, the professional will have the following activities:

Surveys Blow Out Prevention Equipment on drilling rigs, to ascertain condition of machinery and equipment;
Determine repairs required for drilling rigs BOPE to meet minimum standards of performance and safety;
Assess BOP equipment as outlined in the Acceptance Test Procedure and/or Work scope;
Understand and apply assessment points included in the Acceptance Test Procedure;
Observe all site specific safety rules as well as company’s safety rules;
Troubleshoot all components and control systems;
Identify potential sources of downtime, whether included in the ATP or not;
Review and apply lessons learned from other rigs, including anomalies;
Identify and document new lessons learned;
Establish and maintain a good working relationship with client and drilling contractor personnel;
Apply API and governing body rules, regulations, and recommendations;
Compose and publish daily reports, submit to client and company’s home office;
Provide recommendations based on assessment findings, supported by back up documentation.

Profile

University degree in technical or engineering and previous experience either in operating o maintaining BOP equipments on offshore environments;
Market knowledge in oil and gas exploration;
Ability to identify problems and to define action plans;
Proactive attitude;
Advanced English skills;
Availability to attend an offshore routine.
