Position description - Purpose To pro-actively support ouir client's growth aspiration in the area of Process Control & Optimisation consultancy, by providing Clients as well as the client's Engineering Team with process control technology consultancy, study and design review services at senior level, during all phases of the asset life-cycle from front-end feasibility studies through to production debottlenecking and optimisation.

Clients range from Operating Companies to Engineering Contractors. Our clients portfolio is expanding from predominantly local to include a selection of international customers. The size of the process control & optimisation team may grow to 10 (senior + junior) staff, depending on business prospects. The process control engineers will also work closely with the process-and discipline engineering teams.

Experience and Qualifications required Degree (BSc/MSc) in Chemical Engineering, Process Control Engineering or equivalent Minimum7 years relevant Oil & Gas/Chemical Industry experience, covering the main aspects of process technology, process optimisation, process control, automation, instrumented protection, real time facilities control technologies and instrumentation. In depth knowledge is required of petrochemical processes, their static and dynamic behaviour, their operational characteristics and their control requirements. Previous experience with dynamic simulation and process control design is preferred. Knowledge of relevant International and/or Shell Group standards is preferred. Proven team worker with a positive and open attitude. Must be able to operate in an environment demanding considerable customer focus Self motivated, results oriented with conceptual and flexible mindset Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills Participate in Design Reviews and HAZOP's.
